Seriously, who the fuck was responsible for this poor thing's movepool? Aurora veil at least makes some sense if you consider that they wanted to make aurora veil + snow warning unique to Alolatales, but power gem is inexcusable.

And I agree. It is one of a handful that need a serious overhaul with it's movepool (Dedenne has no special Fairy moves, Seismitoad has no Physical Water moves, etc.)

Wow, it's almost as if some pokemon have downsides and upsides and aren't supposed to be generic cookie cutters with the same movepools for their typing and stats

It's not like it would be any better with them, either. I bet someone at GF just forgot the move Power Gem when making it in the first place, and I bet they forgot Auroras existed when making Aurora Veil.

Movepools shouldn't be optimized smogon approved checklists, but they should still make sense. How come fucking Vespiqueen gets Power Gem but this doesn't? WHY DOESN'T THE POKEMON BASED ON AURORAS GET AURORA VEIL?

At least is has things that look like gem.

Unlike:
Corsola, Nosepass/Probopass, Lunatone, Nihilego, and Necrozma who have nothing that resembles gems at all, yet still learn Power Gem.
