Persona has not being good since P2:ET, which came out in 2000. Even if P5 outsold any Pokémon game they would not add persona elements to it, Pokémon and Persona do not compete, they have different target audiences. Although, I think we can assume more shitty waifu bait in the future, that is what sells.

Not totally, but they could extend in that feature of feeding and talking to random pokemon in routes they introduced in USUM, like you find a pokemon wich is the leader of a group, and you help it do some stuff. After that the pokemon will give you a rare object as a golden cap or something better. If you take that pokemon's afection to maximun the Pokemon will ask to join your team

I like Persona 1/2 (especially 2), but I also like how 3/4 became more it own thing instead of a slightly different SMT, it gave the sub-series a more unique identity.
I don't understand why people that like SMT or Persona must dislike each other like if was destiny, I enjoy both series.

I love when I'm able to play Persona on its dungeons is the fucking schedule simulator who gets on the way that pisses me off.

I don't really dislike persona (other than 4 and its subsidiary bar PQ) is just that it feels more like a chore to play rather than being just fun.

On a personal level, I just don't like P3&4 as games. P3 is particularly bad. Exploring Tartarus is an awful chore, the social links are shitty filler, and December as a whole is boring as fuck. I find the combat lackluster when compared to other MegaTen (Before you niggers crucify me, Persona is part of the Megami Tensei series but NOT a Shin Megami Tensei). Story is okay and people only remember the waifus. P4 has similar problems but with slightly less shit dungeons and the SL are less shit (mostly because now every team member has one)
