>>33963696My best guess is that it was Kurt that actually designed the Pokeballs, since Pokeballs actually haven't been around for long (Oak and Agatha never used Pokeballs when they were younger). Kurt, who if I recall, is somewhat older and not only that but seems to be the only one that can create a Apricorn ball still, which does still have the same look as a Pokeball. It's not entirely out of the question, Fuji for example was a scientist who then later lived a quiet life in Lavender Town, I wouldn't be surprised if Kurt did the same thing.
