Just because N had a different last name doesnt mean he wasn't part of the family tree somewhere.
But this is what I think ultimately connects to Ghetsis' general motivations and goals which boils down to he's jelly N had that power instead of him, so used him as a puppet, abused him, and endeavored to create a world where only HE could use Pokemon
