The change is design is infinitely less drastic with Ghetsis.

Because this Ghetsis won in BW. BW2 and therefore his BW2 look do not exist in his timeline.

The Japanese trailer has some extra dialog where the bosses talk about how they took over their own worlds and want to change this one, too. This Ghetsis never lost in BW1 and Archie/Maxie were taken from some dimension that had more in common with RSE than ORAS.

Im pretty sure this is the main Giovanni we've seen through FRLG/HGSS, not some parallel universe Ultra Space one. I mean, that doubly begs the question of why they'd all come here. And what will they do, share this world?

I could get it if they are all the failures in this universe coming together for one last hurrah, but they all rule their respective worlds

Heck, Archie and Maxie arent even evil, even if they're motives werent fully explained until ORAS

The more I think about it the lamer it is desu, I just hope it doesnt crash and burn like the Delta Episode

N's either still back in his home dimension, blissfully ruling the world without realizing Ghetsis was evil, or Ghetsis just got rid of him at some point when he was no longer needed. Now that there's a new frontier to conquer, he needs a new puppet.

In the Japanese trailer he outright says he was able to create a new world that didn't have heart (emotions). This is Cryrus who succeeded in remaking the world instead of finding peace in the Distortion World.

The Giovanni thing makes literally nothing convoluted. There was no big bad from HGSS or BW2 to include that wouldn't be a duplicate. ORAS Archie and Maxie presumably died desu and if Giovanni or Ghetsis won in FR/BW1 the sequels never happened for them.

The Ghetsis mastermind thing I'm guessing, the riddler leak claimed that's the case and they got everything else so far right.

Non-Primal Kyogre/Groudon don't end the world in RS if Archie/Maxie win, only in ORAS

You're right, this could be the original Lysandre, but that doesn't make the idea that he won if the others did outlandish

Cyrus's Distortion World was his consolation prize. That wasn't his goal.

Giovanni has his FR/LG design, Archie/Maxie have their RS design, Ghetsis has his BW1 design. They almost all make a reference to winning.

They can hop dimensions. Once they win and, say, Archie ends up flooding it, they can just go to the next one and Maxie might scorch it or Lysandre manages to kill everyone he doesn't like. There are so many that they can all get turns bringing their ideal world to other realms.

Well why we just don't know. Maybe Necrozma is a threat, maybe Ultra Wormholes are opening up in their world naturally. We'll find out. It's not like enemy teams ever had great plans. They don't seem to be trying to make a world they all agree is perfect though. Ghetsis convincing a bunch of other bad guys to help him achieve something seems the most likely, since that is his schtick. Giovanni's motives are a bit plain for interdimensional evil team-up hijinks

We just know Archie/Maxie see the error of their ways once they're whooped repeatedly and almost kill a shit ton of humans. They show guilt for doing something they new was evil. ORAS explicitly states they miscalculated because the Primal Forms are going to do much much more damage than they expected.
That would at least heavily imply that they knew how much damage Groudon/Kyogre would have done in RS.

Because this is a universe with competent heroes. We have Red and the current player character at a minimum in the region, and this universe has all those leaders stopped so their respective player characters should be in the world somewhere providing a real threat greater than from the universes the villains actually come from.

Yes, it is speculation, yes I do think it will happen.
Yes, there is PLENTY of information pointing to that. Their dialogue, their costume designs, their character, and the fact the same leaks that predicted Rainbow Rocket taking over AE and being made up of these exact guys back in March also claims this.
It might NOT be true, but most of the evidence suggests it is.

No the Cynthia in Sun and Moon is the Cynthia from the future Sinnoh reamkes. The Cyrus here is not the one from the Sinnoh Remakes and neither is he from the originals. He is from a version of sinnoh where everything went according to the plan.
