are you doing to play it some special way ? maybe a themed team ? You're not going to play it the usual boring way right ?

I was planning either a NFE or a Monotype run for USUM to spice things up (plus, obviously, SET and Exp. Share OFF). But either way I'll wait for the full Dex to decide for sure.

(Got 74 on the generator just for fun. So either Psychyc/Hex/Medium or Roller Skater. Not bad, I'll consider it. Saving the pic for future reference anyway, it's pretty cool).

One mon for every Generation (with an Alola 'mon covering for Gen 1 and 7). It's the only way to go after that trailer. This is the true Anniversary.

I'm gonna actually try to use Alolan native Pokemon this time. Keyword try. My only Alolan Pokemon last time was my starter. Before that, my only Kalos Pokemon were my starter and Aegislash.

I'm thinking Decidueye, Salazzle, Araquanid... but I'm a bit stumped on what to catch for the remaining three. I'd like to have the team fully formed by the end of the second island at the latest. I'd LOVE to have Vikavolt but I don't want to wait 'til near the end of the freaking game.

If I allow Alolan form Pokemon (since they are Alolan native after all) then I'll probably add Raichu, then it's a matter of two more after that. Any suggestions to help round them out?

My Sun run was Alola-only:
Decidueye; Toxapex; Golisopod; Mimikyu; Minior; Kommo-o.

I was sure about 1-4, but the last two were decided during the run, i swapped a lot of times during the game between A-Grimer/A-Marowak/A-Ninetales/Lycanroc/Araquanid/Passimian, but ended up with Minior and Kommo-o. All of them are pretty good, though.

I considered Toxapex too but it seems pretty passive. I also heard Mareanie was also just tough to catch. How well did it fare?

On my moon run I played with A-Raticate, A-Muk, Garbodor, Toxapex, Shiinotic and Palossand so it was a bad guyish team, might want to do USUM with a girlish team and with only 4 pokemon until the end since the rainbow rocket seems to have 5 pokemons

Either way I just played white 2 challenge mode for the first time and also nuzlocke rules for the first time, lost and continued normally, I think I should have played just either one and not both for first ever special run.

And for USUM I'm just going to play SET without exp share.

the bird is a pretty nice mon and pretty early with that, it you're still wondering what mon to take he's a safe bet but since your team seems really powerful you should try a shitmon in your team

I usually regret using slow bulky mons on in-game runs, but loved using Toxapex.
It's offensive stats are kinda underwhelming, but strong enough for in-game. Venoshock on poisoned stuff (100% crit with Merciless) does a lot of damage. Also, it's fucking immortal.

I lost my first ever Nuzlocke run. It was a Black, and i lost at Ghetsis, literally the final boss. Never been so pissed in my life.
Then i played Nuzlocke Black 2 Challenge Mode, named the MC Vendetta, and won the shit out of that to redeem my soul.

And yeah, go for Set and no Exp. Share. Made my Sun run way better. Best challenge i had in a non-nuzlocke run in ages. I still want to add either NFE or Monotype to spice things up even more, tho.

And about catching, yeah, it took some time, but nothing too unbearable, i guess. Unless you're going for HA, but i guess Merciless is better for in-game.

For Moon I did a Ghost only team (Decidueye, Mimikyu, A. Marowak, Pallosand, Haunter (I don't like Gengar), and Lunala (I normally never use legendary Pokemon, but wanted to do something different)

For UM think I'll go for a more balanced team. No starter because fuck Incinaroar and Primarina and don't want to use Decidueye twice in a row. Atm thinking pic related, but could change by the time the game actually comes out.
