Stats are probably identical. Also there's no guarantee that you'll be able to soft reset Totems for good natures, it might be preset.

Alright, what if they don't get stat boosts but the ability to call wild Pokemon to battle for you in single battles. Think of the possibilities. Sure spread moves would kill this strategy hard but if the helpers are on a reasonable level...
