RR is post-game probably so this means Lusamine still gets BTFO one way or another (I hope she still becomes Mother Beast and everything.)

Faba's just a snively little shit so probably after hearing about RR he ditched Aether to try and up his rank in society. One way or another he'll get BTFO again and Wicke will talk sense into him to come back.

It's post game, so she's probably going to be reformed by that point. Also, Necrozma looks like it'll be stealing the final boss spotlight this time, making the story more adjustable for her to be more redeemable.

Cause she's not actually a bad person, she was just fucked over by the loss of her husband in a science accident and alien jellyfish.

Faba was also confirmed to be doing shady shit behind her back so it wouldn't surprise me if he was using her in a way. He makes more sense as an evil mastermind.

Lusamine isn't the main bad guy in this game. She is with you, Lillie, and Guzma on the Altar of the Sunne. She presumably executes her plan but when Necrozma shows up instead she decides to help out instead.

Think about it: Lillie is still in Alola with the RR incident, which is clearly post-game. Lillie has no reason to go to Kanto since Lusamine didn't fuse with Nihilego and got neurotoxins.

It's pretty clear even for the main story the Ultra Recon squad will be taking the antagonistic role Aether did have in the original games
