I saw his appeal when his design was first released, but him and team Skull were really pathetic.

Technically, they weren't the main antagonist group, but except used by the main, the Aether Foundation.

How much you wanna bet they're either going to A: Go nowhere with that and use it to write off him gaining the nerve to go challenge the Battle Tree in at least one version. Or B: Actually apply it to the USUM postgame or whenever the fuck RR shenanigans take place, in-game.

Yeah, I guess I can understand people wanting Skull to be evil and intimidating but we have Aether for that and Skull was a nice fresh take on the tired "Evil Team" thing Pokemon's been doing for 20+ years now.

Team Skull was a wonderful breath of air when it comes to evil teams in the games, but I was mostly comparing Guzma's themes to Giovanni, what with him being more of a less serious and less experienced take on actual gangsters.
