Why the fuck would it be a dragon? It looks like a big goofy bird.
Maybe Water/Flying instead of Psychic but it's really not THAT mismatched.

Yeah, that's a strange one. I'd put Water as the most obvious secondary typing but Poison works well, too. Bug could've fit (Shelmet sets the precent for mollusk-based Bug-types) and I can see Fairy or Ground (mud) as well.

I think the idea might be because it has multiple heads, but that still doesn't make sense when you consider all the other multi-headed pokèmon.

I think it comes from Exeggcute. It was Grass/Psychic due to the eggs/seeds having a psychic connection with each other and they decided to keep it that way upon evolution

I'm just surprised he wasn't a water type considering the silver intro screen and the movie he starred in. I know a Pokemon doesn't have to match the typing of their environment but they seemed to promote his orca like features over all else.
