How is citra in terms of running sun and moon? I remember playing a bit of it and it ran at a quarter speed or less, music sounded terrible and getting the starters took hours. I want to play USUM when that leaks entirely on citra since I'm not buying it and My 3ds is on 11.4, so no CFW. Can anyone link me to the best version of citra for this?

right click on the windows icon on the taskbar far left corner same thing that brings up the start menu. it will bring up another menu. in the menu find system. click on it it should show you basic info about your pc

Since USUM probably uses the same engine as SM, I would assume it can. Also, I'm suprised it can run SM but not XY, that's really odd.

There's a recent version of Citra, made unnoficially by some chinese guy, that increased my emulation speed from an average 70% to 80% and pretty much fixed the battles for me. I forget the name, but it has UNOPTIMIZED written at the end.

If you have a R4i DS card or buy one for like 10$, i think you can hack your 3DS, no matter what version you're in, even if you don't have a second hacked 3DS to help you.

I think that Citra is as good as it's going to get. The developers just made wifi work to the point that I managed to battle someone else online - but think about it.

Why would they get wifi up and working if they can get the emulator to run faster or fix unplayable games like Pokemon XY? The devs probably only know how to do specific things and can't do other things.

Don't fucking tryna give me you pc specs, ain't mean shit. There are plenty of videos on youtube where people show their pokemon games run smoothly on Citra with all the tweak and shits. Just upgrade your pc or something.

Those videos are often edited and cherry-picked or outright fabricated, even the devs said they were unreliable.

Citra isn't going to emulate smoothly all the time except on a very strong computer, though it's good enough to play decent on my worn toaster. Only doubles are hell.

I can't say much about how aunthentic the videos are, neither can you. But problem with some people especially those who whine about any emulator performance (not talking about OP) is that theycwant to play everything according to their pc capability i.e "I want to play 4x native!", "I want to play in 1080p!", "In 4k! Because my computer screen can!". As if playing in default 3ds resolution (240p) can kill them or something. Majority of them are clueless and literally have no idea that other than better looking polygons (less jaggies), any 3ds game won't look prettier in 1080p or 4k, there are no textures to show in 3ds games to match such resolutions. Totally pointless.
