I just realised that these are not "alternate" versions of the villains these are the ones we fought in the previous games and they failed let me elaborate

>Giovanni left in HGSS Event and in Generations saying he'll be back with a new team (a promise he kept)
>Cyrus bailed on this world and its not certain if he has Giratina or not but not very likely though its possible that Giovanni just pulls him out of the Distortion world with him still having failed and attempting it with this world
>Archie and Maxie still fails but not the "alternate" ORAS ones the ones we fight in USUM are the Original ones or the "real" ones since they fail they could still be pulled through and like Cyrus attempting it in this world
>Lysandre didnt necessarily die in X and Y but its strongly hinted and could be pulled out by Giovanni and like the others attempt it in this world (although he did die in the Special Manga)
>Ghetsis is a notorious backstabber but is still alive although he is in his normal costume (which might suggest pokemon B2W2 aint canon???) but it wouldnt matter since he still failed and wants to attempt to win in this world


tl:dr It might be a world where they all failed and they all come together to try their goals here since it would be weird that they would leave their "perfect" world behind
