Empoleon and Infernape megas will easily be viable.

This Torterra has similar physical bulk to rhyperior (95/150 compared to its 115/130) while having massively improved SpD over it, higher attack and a bunch of minor weaknesses and a single 4x weakness to ice compared to rhyperior's water/grass 4x weakness. with its movepool, it's probably at least RU now, maybe BL2

It needs a fucking 200 in its base attack to hit as hard as tapu bulu and bulu hasn't lost its item slot to hit that hard, it can't fill any kind of niche in ou as a hard hitting setup sweeper as zygarde does it better because ddance+1k arrows + espeed

Think about it, no need for stone miss other than coverage and you still get ground type stab.

No need to make it rock, in all honesty rock is kinda of a quadruple edge sword with all the edges pointing at your scrotum unless you are fast or are Tyranitar.

Cradily is still shit offensively and defensively a weakness to ice, fighting, steel and bug isn't promising at all, being weak to u turn, ice beam and fighting coverage is always shit.

Offensively it isn't that terrible when backed by terrain boosted wood hammer but other than coverage ground it is hard walled by steel, cradily kinda sucks for being such a sitting duck vs steel types.

Grass ground with rock coverage is kinda better than grass rock with ground coverage at least at forcing switches.

Technically speaking offensive rock fire, ice, ground and fighting don't lose too much from it, if they had 110 speed one could argue those typing are broken, Remember Terrakion and how threatening a rock ground Landorus T could be.

Rock sucks on slow stuff without a secondary stab that can threaten its weaknesses immediately.

A good example of what happens when you reduce speed is mega garchomp, it is OU by the technicality that base garchomp is ou. if mega garchomp was a separate pokemon it would be BL or UU
but yes, not everything needs speed, torterra also has all the grass type goodies so it can also fill a support role

I still used mega chomp in OU, the bastard packed some nasty Draco Meteors people always underestimated.

Even if Infernape dropped speed it would still be usable if it got something like Intimidate or Defiant, heck even Levitate could work for the memes.
