>>34033790The plot is easily the absolute worst about this game, with there being inconsistencies all across the board, and Classic Sonic shoe-horned in for no damn reason. Your OC is inexplicably special for no reason, and people trust him for no reason. He's strong for no reason, and his backstory is that he's a surviver of Infinite's attack on a city, yet he's able to fearlessly take him on later. Everyone talks for him, and this is incredibly apparent in the end with one of the most cringey moments in Sonic history. The Sun is a threat last minute, and disappears the next cutscene. An army of all the villains mentioned above are just there to look threatening, but only exist for a badly animated war scene.
It seems they dropped humans from the Sonic world, and replaced them with comic-templated characters. Sonic Forces fucked over an already fucked over canon.
In synopsis, this game was rushed and was another attempt at false nostalgia-pandering with the pay-off literally being nothing. The special levels are the worst that they have ever been, and only exist for the 100% to further emphasize that Eggman lost. The characters, presentation, story, and gameplay is absolutely horrid for what it set out and promised. What was advertised as being a love story for modern Sonic fans as Sonic Mania was for classic, turned into another bad sonic game. Best parts about this game are the Avatar levels, music, and Infinite's character design.
Worth a watch, but not a buy.
