Not really. Maybe if they cut out the ones people didn't give a shit about like Palace or Arena and made it like 5-6 buildings but really flesh em out, it'd be better.

I'd vote for Tower/Chateu, Pyramid, Factory, Dome, maybe Pike, and fuck it, bring back Arcade from Gen 4

Honestly I could see a sequel or a retelling on the Switch now that the console is confirmed for next gen. I could settle for another Kanto game too as long as it feels close to ORAS and RSE than it could with FRLG to RBY. Meaning more of a retelling than another straight-up remake.

I've seen some terrible taste on /vp/ but this really takes the cake. Sinnoh remakes will be shit because all remakes have been shit (except for HGSS, which were good but worse than Crystal). Platinum was already so great I doubt a remake could ever do it justice.

My prediction on how to make it worse: They reintroduce HM's, base it on DP and not Pt (so the smaller dex with nearly no Fire-types,) they add no new regional forms, megas, or Z-moves, and they introduce a new character that effectively guides you through the region and pulls a Zinnia of some form (I orchestrated everything, Cyrus is my puppet, you're the chosen one, Giratina is the REAL ruler, idk whatever.) and probably adding in Arceus in some form autistically, and in the worst way possible (like in the inevitable Giratina postgame thing Arceus just descends down and attempts to join your party or something.)

Don't forget more focus on story meaning more scripted sequences and/or cutscenes and crippled gym leader and evil team battles. I could also see them trying to ship the main character with the professor's assistant since he/she barely mattered in the original game.
