Starting in an Ice town?

Never has pokemon made us start in an Ice Town (the closest was platinum) where the first route had mostly or only ice pokemon. They should.

I 100% agree with this notion. We need somewhere COLD for once.

We also desperately need early game Ice types.

This is why fans should never be in charge of game design. The first route mons are supposed to introduce new players to type matchups, like the first rival battle.

I designed my own region where the starting town is up in the mountains and the first few routes consist of Pidgey, Sentret, Cubchoo, Alolan Sandshrew and Alolan Vulpix. First gym is ice as well. Would love to see it be a real thing.

To be fair, starting in a regular town lets you storm through all the early game bug and/or grass types with Fire

I don’t have the skills to pull that off, at least not now, lol. Also, I guess I forgot Cubchoo in my dex. Oh well, pretend it’s available there. I’d also love some suggestions for personalities or designs for the remaining characters I haven’t figured out yet.

I think it'd be a bad idea to start in an icy area, but I wouldn't mind an early icy area. It's really frustrating that the good Ice-types are always late game.
