The SM plot is ending with the Nebby evolving into Solgaleo and going to Ultra Space arc, which means the second half of the Alola anime is going to be USUM, UlaUla and Poni trials, URS/Necrozma stuff.

It's probably going to be a Lunala that fuses with Necrozma in the anime and the heroes have to save her. Afterwards, Nebby and the Lunala have a baby, and Nebby decides to stay with Lunala and the newly born Cosmog because he doesn't want it to be abandoned like he was.

Because Ash is Nebby's caretaker in the anime, and Solgaleo is the masculine evolution. Ash never gets feminine Pokemon (aside from Chikorita, but that evolved into the more masculine-looking Bayleaf and never again).
