I liked her. She was friendly and energetic without being annoying or a cunt.
She didn't need to be a water type specialist, though. I understand her having Piplup because it's one fo the most "mascot" starters, but being all about water Pokemon makes one needlessly compare her to Misty.

No. Verity was more or less a Misty clone, a tomboy Water-type user who insults Ash at every turn. The one good thing about her character is that because people hated her so much, the anime staff decided to bring Misty and Brock back for the anime.

And we saw Misty and Brock Mega Evolve their Pokemon and kick all types of ass.

I thought she was fine but wondered why they would bother making her and the other new character rather than simply including Misty and Brock. The movie was supposed to be for nostalgiafags anyway.
