>>34069109You didn't answer the question, because your argument clearly isn't structurally sound, so I'll do it for you.
1. People are not stealing the product, they're downloading it from a leak because Nintendo and Gamefreak clearly don't have enough confidence in said product to prevent it from being leaked in the first place.
2. People are downloading it because they clearly care about the brand, but not enough to pay for an offshoot of said brand that is clearly mediocre compared to past installments.
3. People are also downloading it so that they can say they've consumed the product enough; to the point that when they DO argue with the consumers that were suckered into buying the product, their opinions aren't dismissed because they "didn't even play the game".
This is the only way people can judge a bad product without giving money to the developers for creating said product. Video Games aren't food. If I buy a bag of chips for 50 cents, and I don't like the chips, I just won't buy another bag. Video games aren't a product I'm meant to consume over and over again. If I bought a game and I don't like it, then I don't have the option of not buying it again because why the fuck would I do that. Now you may be thinking, "But anon! That's what video game reviews are for! If the review is bad, then you shouldn't buy the game!" You look me in the eye, and tell me why the fuck I should trust a modern, big name gaming journalist to give me a fair review of a game, when they give literally every piece of garbage that a major gaming company shits out an 8/10.
