Why do people even download the preload files? There's literally no benefit to it aside from maybe getting the game an hour or so earlier than waiting for the .cia, and that's assuming there's no leak or street dates broken, which there almost always are.

IIRC, you go to "SD" and then "cias". After that, you should find the UM cia in there and you just select it and download it.

The flashcart way is by far the best. It's fast, and it is unpatchable because it relies on a hardware vulnerability.
Besides the fact you get to play DS games on it :]

Isn't it because the SD card is full? I'm assuming the cia is 3GB then the installed game is also 3GB, so 6GB are being used total.

Is this not the case?

FBI displays how much space your SD had, on the top screen.
It -has- to be more than about 3.5 GB, or the game won't have enough space.
You can use FBI to uninstall anything you don't need.
I seriously doubt you uninstalled "every app".
If you did, you have a bigger problem to worry about now.

Make sure you can boot into Luma3DS without an SD, before you do this.
You're gonna need it to reinstall everything you lose by formatting. If you do format, you will lose everything on the SD, which is also everything CFW related. Luma3DS is your only way back to CFW.

I strongly advise you make a back-up of all the files on the SD, as well as a CTRNAND back-up, just in case you screw anything up.
