Will UBs ever be usable on the main story?

i was hoping USUM would make it possible to use UBs on your team during the story but it seems like its not.
you guys they'll ever do it? why cant they even breed anw?

So just make them late game then. We haven't been able to capture optional, non-box legendaries before the postgame since BW2.

Can't you catch the Regis as soon as you get Dive in ORAS? And can't you catch some of the Mirage Spot legendaries as soon as you're able to Soar?

Maybe they need to make Beast Boost a hidden ability that you only get from the ones you catch in the overworld, with any UBs born from slamming them into a Ditto repeatedly not having Beast Boost because they never came through an ultra wormhole.

No Pokemon in USUM are shinylocked aside from the Cosmog Line, Tapus, Necrozma and Zygarde.

SciriesM put Zygarde under shiny locked gifts. Does that mean only the Zydog that gets handed to you is locked or is the one in the cave locked too?
