I wouldn't be surprised if they chose Southern France for the next game with Kalos post game (the plant included). There was a thread yesterday about GF taking a business trip there with the anime team.

Nah, it will be a new region, however it will complete a few trios...

Pikachu clone Trio: Fairy, Steel, Fighting type triangle

Diancie/Magearna trio: Rock, Steel, Fire type triangle

and there are a few other patterns that have been constant between G 6 and 7 so far

If it's with the anime team, it was almost certainly just gathering references for the next movie. They always pick random-ass cities to set those in, even if they have nothing to do with the region the generation takes place in.

Kalos is my favourite region aesthetically, so this would be fantastic if it came to light. X/Y were shammed so hard with the lack of third game honestly.
