If there's no National Dex, then what's the point in "catching them all"? If these games don't record all the Pokemon you catch, then there's no point to it. It makes all the time and effort spent in previous generations catching them all completely pointless if it doesn't require you to transfer them over to complete the Pokedex.

desu i just like the pokedex's model/animation viewing function, and it sucks that the 400ish pokemon that aren't in the alola dex don't have that. pokebank's national dex doesn't measure up (plus it needs a fucking internet connection to boot)
