HD or straight port? Probably.
Remake? Not a chance, they would need to implement newest pokemons in it and that's too much work for them.

could be like Firered/Leafgreen, remake wasn't that bad for the most part. It was a straight port with new areas and an after game

No, like I said, they would need to implement 800 pokemon and they aren't doing just that, they even said not to expect something big for the next switch pokemon game.
They could release a VC port with some sort of transfer function just like they did with rby gsc.

I'd rather a new mainline game with a fully fleshed out Orre region instead. Snagging Shadow Pokemon is fun until you realize they only have so many moves on them, and you have to grind to purify them to actually be of use.

I think it'd be fun if a fleshed out Orre was made into a shithole like how Coliseum envisioned rather than Gale of Darkness' more livelier take. It'd limit the Pokemon selection and new typing, I know, but muh theming man.

Well they established the template, battle system, and created every Pokemon available in the games. These titles wouldn't have existed without GF.
