So did ANYTHING concerning these two change AT ALL? Stats, movesets, when/where/how they're obtained, etc. etc.? Just please give me SOMETHING GameFreak!

I think the way it goes is that you get the doggo with 40 cells. You come across the land-snake form and can harvest it for more cells.... And then I think you fight Dexio and his Zygarde for the final 10 you need to get the complete form.

I'm just guessing here but I think you would still have to search around for the different cores.
