The text dump has few new trainers at the tree. Maybe a couple of them have a chance to replace Red/Blue as bosses and are unrecruitable.

He's not immortal yet. The leakers were kinda wrong when they said "from a world where they accomplished their goals". It's more like "a world where the play character doesn't exist", but the bosses where brought to Alola right before they could actually accomplish anything.
