No, very likely I'm gonna enjoy my Ultramoon copy a lot, and also I love my X and Alpha Sapphire. I don't care about your huge negativity, pessimism and hatred. I love all generations, every gen has its beautiful style, story, music. There isn't a Pokémon game I hated either, I like playing Pokémon and every game offers at least the bare minimum. Doesn't change the fact ever since XY the games have been very disappointing and dry, with Sun/Moon looking like a first step back into form only for USUM to turn into a even bigger disappointment.

They changed or removed almost everything I liked about SM's story.

Nah, They are THE worst games. Not only were they incredibly disappointing, but they fixed none of the problems from SM and only added more problems.
SM is more forgivable since they're the first games of the generation (despite them being shit) but USUM is literally inexcusable lazy shit.

I'm looking forward to running through with new monsters, the new move tutors, the rainbow rocket stuff, and trying some of the rematch fights (though if they only have 5 pokemon that will suck). I'm annoyed by how tedious it was to get to 100 in SM and it sounds like that still is a problem.

Lillie's scene at Exeggutor Island, probably more. The UB quest, meaning all dialogue and backstory Looker, Nanu and Anabel get during it.
As for changes, I really don't like Lusamine's villainous and insane traits being toned down, she was my favorite villain.
