>>34089747The main problem with USUM is how similar it is to base SM until the story climax. You might think "well, all third versions have that problem", but the issue in USUM is how it also reuses the constant cutscenes and interruptions that people already endlessly complained about in the original. With no option to skip any scenes or anything, this issue becomes really fucking apparent to anyone that's played SM.
Original SM got a pass because it was a brand new game. USUM doesn't have that luxury and I honestly think reviewers are going to be way harsher on it, moreso than any third version because the flaws of gen 7 are really easy to see once the initial wow and pizaaz have worn off.
