>>34091607Scyther was best for green. Going a little farther to Fossil and Tream Rocket, you get Muk and Dark Vileplume, both of which could shut down entire decktypes and leave your opponent unable to use their pokemon powers or lock them out of playing trainer cards. Dark Vileplume players were all bitches.
Hitmonchan was best for Orange, although Hitmonlee was pretty damn good too. Aerodactyl ruined entire decks as well.
Blastoise for Blue, although Gyarados was also pretty overpowering.
For purple I'd say either Mr. Mime or Kadabra. Alakazam was great too, but couldn't fight worth a damn, Kadabra could sweep like a boss so you were better off not evolving it half the time. Mr. Mime was jus utter bullshit, moves with over 20 power did nothing.
Red the best was either Ninetails or Magmar. Dark Charizard from the Team Rocket set was also a terror.
Yellow was pretty good most of the time, but Electabuzz was awesome and Team Rocket's Zapdos was amazing. Some of the Raichus were all right too, I guess. Dark Jolteon could fuck people up too, I put it in all kinds of decks to lock them out of Trainer cards.
For Colorless, Wigglytuff was a perennial favorite. Kangaskhan and Lickitung were all over the place too, since they could both tie up the game and keep your opponent occupied while you powered up your bench and got your shit together. Clefable was broken as all hell, probably the best card for slaying noobs since people who know what they're doing destroy it but small children are left wondering how the hell they lost.
