Bad. Barely fixes any of the problems USUM had. More tedious than other third versions to play if you played the prior versions because of all the fucking cutscenes. No new Alolan forms. Only new Pokemon are legendaries you don't get until near the end of the game. Post-game facility is worse than every other follow up version post-game facility since Crystal.

I guess most of the hate comes from the fact that gamefreak somehow felt the need to make TWO versions of this shit with barely any new content. I believe the general reaction wouldn't be nearly as negative if they had made only one version and called it Pokémon Star or something.

Look, Gen 7 is terrible in general.

It just fucking tried to much to innovate for the shake of it at it failed.
Ubs, Z-moves, Trials, FF-tier plot, Alola forms...
All those concepts ended being underwhelming because GF doesnt even know how to handle 1 concept (Megaevolution) let alone 7 concepts.

Also the new pokemon and the region aren't terrible, but they're bad.
