What could have been an interesting mechanic was not only the usual game/generational exclusive, but also another act of genwunning from Game Freak. As there weren't enough genwunning: BW being marketed as a relaunch to the series and being compared to RBGY, XY giving you Kanto starters and Santalune Forest being a rehash of Viridian Forest, and now this. Nostalgia is good, I know, but this is too much.
