The games can't even program a proper animation for NPCs walking up stairs. Lillie just kind of floats above the stairs any time she has to use them.

Exactly, so the Pokemon having some wonky animation wouldn't stick out. I'd be perfectly fine with the two animations in those youtube vids. Don't even need the Refresh reactions.
