We don't want it to fail. We just want a good game. Criticizing Pokemon does not mean you want the series to fail. In fact, the people who criticize are the people who care the most. If we didn't care, we would just leave to watch it burn.

I enjoyed all the 3DS Pokemon games more than the DS ones (except HGSS) and there's nothing butthurt unovabortions can do to tarnish that

While this is normally a completely fair point this case is different.

/vp/ seems to forget pokemon is a series not intended for their age group, we are the minority overall. While pokemon has many adult fans the games were always made with a casual and young audience in mind.

/vp/ puts these unrealistic expectations on the series that never was meant to be what they want.

fuck off with this argument.

BW2 was a game for kids and it was good.
HGSS was a game for kids and it was good.
Emerald was a game for kids and it still managed to have multiple challenging battle facilities that weren't shit.

Mario and Zelda are games for kids and they both released games with a metric fuckton of content. The game being made for kids isn't an excuse. It's not even necessarily a CORRECT excuse either considering this franchise is supposed to be for people of all ages.

Game freak has always recognized pokemon trainer vary ages, and has at least TRIED to include content that are easy to enjoy, for kids and hard to master, for older audiences. (The exp share being turn-offable is an example, although too subjective, other examples are IV's/EV's),

No other Nintendo license is only for children, you name it it's for everyone. Mario. Zelda. Metroid. Fucking even Kirby, the most child-friendly game is also played by adults.

Yet, for some dumb reason only Pokemon gets this argument. Especially since it's not even that child friendly, ever since the beginning the game has had numerous adult jokes place in it. Shit that would make modern parents call for it's cancellation, so it just doesn't seem to make since why it's the only game that is ever brought up in Nintendo's collection as for children.

I'm not even sure the problem stems entirely from Gamefreak's lack of effort. Masuda and Ohmori might genuinely believe that kids are too ADHD to pay attention to a game on the level of BW2, HGSS, Plat, or Emerald. As such they take the equivalent of a game shit into a cartridge and bam, ADHD fuel.
