thought on some Pokemon having 3 types?
I think pic related are the top mons that qualify(plus Decidueye and Vikavolt getting flying and Dhelmise getting steel)
thoughts?

They should limit types to 2 but have each pokemon have like a hidden type, something totally random that gives you a 5th move of that type

Those all seem unnecessary. I like the Sawsbuck idea but I don't think the typings fit very well except for ice.The rest I could get down with it though.
I especially like how the Johto legendary a Water/Fire/Grass triangle.

Not too sure about the 5th move idea but I could see the hidden type only affect STAB but not defense (or the other way around).
Could be an interesting twist imo.

I'd rather have upgraded power for single typed Pokemon (ex: "Pure" Water type Pokemon do x2 the stab damage) or mix types for certain type combinations (ex: Fire/Water Pokemon produce steam when they use water moves).

Entire first row makes sense except butterfree;
Fortress remains UU, Steelix kill, Bug/Steel/Fighting makes more sense for Scissor;
Celebii and Ninjask gets fucked even deeper into low tier hell, Blaziken drops from Ubers;
Shedninja is somehow more unusable now, Flygon dies when he touches an ice cube, and it feels like you just put ice with lunatone because solrock got one;
Metagross makes no sense but latias/os do, Jirachi goes back to being the king of cancer, toxicroak gets crippled;
Heatran's ruined, sawsbuck feels gimicky;
Stunfisk dies, golurk suddenly becomes good, Bisharp has no business being fighting, and based sea dragon becomes even more based.

As for yours, Vikavolt is still unforgivably shit and dhelmise is somehow even worse now.

Gengar being dark type makes more sense than it being poison. Poison made sense for the pre evos because they were made of (poisonous) gas, but that was dropped with gengar. he is instead described as a shadow and is malicious as fuck, so dark type is very fitting. The other ones you mentiona are indeed unncessary.

I think it would make more sense if some Pokemon had multiple possible typings. For example, Steelix could be either steel/rock or steel/ground. Gen 7 introducing the little messages that tell you if a move is effective would even largely eliminate the problem of guessing which type it is.

Butterfree's association with psychic is because in gen 1, it was the only thing in the entire first chunk of the game that could get psychic moves. And it learned them at a pretty low level.

It'd be more interesting if it was kept hidden. You'd probably end up with most players playing a meta typing but then a minority would play the other typing specifically to throw people off. It would make it a lot more poker-like.
