>>34099492The thing is, up until gen 6, the differences in opinions were mostly due to subjective factors. DP was an exception with the speed issues it had, but platinum fixed that.
There will always be people who love BW for not using Pokémon from previous gens. And there will be people who hate it for the same reason.
Now, gen 6 and 7 introduce a new issue: they are unfinished. Time will not fix it. I still believe someone would like a game with so much hand holding and 5+ hours worth of cutscenes, but not an unfinished game.
When someone says USUM is terrible because it doesn't fill the holes that SM had, there's not much room for opinions. No one would consider a game good because of that, there are just people who accept it and try to be positive.
