>>34103835Well I can't speak for the entirety of /vp/, but I could never think to myself that XY/ORAS/SM were lazy. They were all unique enough and there was effort put into them. I didn't enjoy ORAS as much as I should but atleast that was an entirely new thing.
USUM is just a small enhanced port of SM, which sucks considering the core games have been either sequels or something entirely new and thats what people were anticipating. USUM only has an excuse to exist because they needed to rush out a new game and it shows.
There was also 0% hype and instead, Pokken was hyped up which is a really dumb move. I still think USUM would've been better received had they had an enhanced port on the switch, giving us a little taste of what a bew Pokemon core game on the Switch might be.
