Its such a shame. The Ultra Beasts arent my favorite designs, but its so refreshing to have out of the ordinary Pokemon and I would love to have a couple new ones with each new gen.

On a similar note, regional variants might get the same treatment and it hurts. I really hope they dont drop it after making just 10 Alolan forms. Every region going forward should have regional variants

It's a nice way to fix some boring mons while also slowing down on adding new pokemon. I think GF is aware that the dex is getting way too large and this is a great way to control it. I'd like to see the next games give some love to gen 2 pokemon like Stantler, Girafarig, Qwilfish, Octillery, all that shit you've probably forgotten about.

I'd love it IF they were like normal pokemon that could be captured in the regular game. As it stands now they're just legendaries that will just be forced into the game to catch, and that annoys me.

I love the idea of completely alien pokemon that come from a different dimension, but the fact that so many of them are based on real things detracts from that. Origami, clowns, jellyfish, fortresses, those are all terrestrial designs that fit with regular pokemon, but don't fit an alien theme.

We'll see. At this point, it seems like they intended that, but none of their Gen7 stuff were as popular as Megas, so I could see them bringing them adding new megas next gen.
