Zygarde is actually rather unimpressive in general if you think about it. I mean sure it's supposed to 'keep the balance of the ecosystem', but we never see how it does this. The actual feats Zygarde has is minimal.

alternate pokeearths have different species because evolution took a different path I guess. Guzzlord's world was fine even with it around even. They were just really big Muk. The text of the NPC pretty much says that they lived on the planet way before he was born and after the planet became a wasteland people migrated to space but left the Guzzlord behind because they ate a lot. Kinda like what people do to their pets when they realize they are too much responsability and leave them on the highway.

It's obvious. Some pokemon (probably Muk) and Zygarde are the origin of Guzzlord in that parallel world.

I just realized the hazmat suit 's look makes sense in-universe. It was probably designed like that for camouflage, with it there are less possibilities of being eat by a Guzzlord if they find him.

So I just realize... this means ALL the parallel worlds from the Ultraspace are parallel versions of the main world in which different stuff happened (which also explains why even regular pokemon appear in these worlds), so... what the fuck happened in the Ultra Megalopolis world to have pokemon like Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala and Necrozma? I think some of the UB's are actually mutated humans or life forms that existed instead of humans in those worlds (hence xurk looking a bit like Guzma and Pheremosa looking like Lusamine - they aren't literally the same people but are the equivalents of them in alternate worlds)

Guzzlord's attack is actually higher than its special attack - base 101 vs. base 97. .

The issue of course is not that Guzzlord's attack is too low; it's that Guzzlord's best offensive options are special. A Choice Band set could theoretically work.

But I can see Guzzlord using Drain Punch mainly on defensive sets, as a way to hit both Dark-types and have reliable recovery.

it's a minuscule difference, but more importantly Guzzlord's special moves are stronger than its physical moves.
Draco Meteor, Fire Blast and Sludge Wave are so much better than Dragon Claw and Earthquake.

Is there Zygarde in USUM? I've heard the cell quest is gone.
If this is the case, perhaps the original goal was to have Zygarde be a guardian against the UB, and in the world's destroyed by UBs there never was a trainer who unified the cells?
