It is a bit confusing still tho. Giovanni seems to have come through a wormhole first and he also is able to control when he opens them too, judging by his last scene in the RR episode.

Either Colress is just making a wild guess or he is actually half right, with Necrozma's powers allowing Giovanni to do his shenanigans easier.

Archie, Maxie, and Cyrus were all going to fail. Steven/Wallace/Cynthia would have likely cleaned up their messes. Lysandre was presumably going to succeed but maybe he changed his mind when he went home. Ghetsis won with no drawbacks unless Colress fucks him over later.

Well, all things considered, I did like how they made their dialogue in the ORAS chapter. At first it was confusing why they talked as if they were twins (completing each other's sentences, reaffirming what the other said, and so on), but after they reveal what happened to them in th Distortion World it made sense.

Also Maxie and Archie were never really Ghetsis-tier on "let's kill the kid", not even in RSE. They see you as a strong trainer and respect you to a degree. In the RR episode they don't even go to try to stop you after you beat them, it's more like they went to check you out and probably point the way to you if you were lost. It's just that they saw each other and their rivalry autism kicked in.

The fact that Giovanni doesn't think a 10 year old showing up to beat his ass should happen despite it being somewhat nostalgic suggests that he is from a successful timeline, but it might still work even if it was OG Giovanni deciding to try again a third (or perhaps second) time.

The Switch games will be set in Kanto/Johto, RR will be the evil team, the climax will involve Red/Green (version exclusive) helping you save the region in the most climatic and cinematic conclusion to the series yet.

I'd actually put money on this happening. If switchmon isn't a soft reboot I'd be surprised. Only a few new mons, plenty of new megas and a big selection of Kanto/Johto forms.
