The original dragon is a fully powered Kyurem with shared traits between Reshiram and Zekrom. Unfortunately, all those shitty fan arts probably are really close to the mark, assuming a design for the original dragon even exists.

I think the original dragon should be just a big, majestic, strong and non-hunchback Kyurem without the ice parts but with active plasma tails.
There's no reason for it to be a mix of black and white parts, since it is supposed to represent the oneness of the Taiji, not duality of Yin+Yang.

Most people will probably disagree, but I think the Original Dragon should be the first (and possibly only) triple-type Pokemon. We can already have triple types with those moves that Gourgeist and Trevenant have, so why not.

If we ever do get to see the Original Dragon it'll just be called Kyurem and be a pure dragon type retaining his ice type moves as well as Reshiram and Zekrom's moves, it might even get his own signature move or z move so the "form" will be pretty busted

The new version always has to use the new mechanic to introduce the final form of the Apex legend of that generation. B/W will be about Fusion Attacks where you combine attacks into new ones and the only way to get Kyurem to become the original dragon is to fuse the R and Z's signature moves.

Kyurem is a broken shell animated. The only reason Kyurem-W and Kyurem-B look the way they is because its a forced fusion between two-thirds. The original Dragon will not look like Kyurem-W or Kyurem-B it would be its own unique look with some smooth completed traits of Kyurem only.

Also, it wouldn't have those energy cable things that B/W-Kyurem have because those are basically unholy abominations held together by the ice Kyurem produces.

OG Dragon would be a slick, grey, ice-less energy factory.

And Dragon energy is a thing in Pokémon, and it's definitely not as specialized as Fire or Electric energies would be.

Big grey sleek dragon with a multichromatic tail generator. That's the OG Dragon.

Kyurem is the leftover parts of the original Dragon. The parts of the dragon that sided with one hero broke off to form Reshiram, and the parts that sided with the other broke off to form Zekrom. In the end, some of the original dragon was leftover, an empty husk, the only one of the three that remembers being the original dragon (if it weren't that it basically acts on instinct alone.)

Think of it as if Zekrom and Reshiram are left or right halfs of the brain (whichever ones) and Kyurem is the brain stem.

I dont mean that it would literally have black and white aspects from the duo so much as it would have certain design traits like perhaps Reshirams wings or Zekroms forelimbs with a unique grey/red/blue color scheme

Also I think it'll be a quadrupedal Fire/Electric type, no actual dragon typing. Dragons feel too aggressive to be tied into a Pokemon themed around unity and Oneness, and dropping the dragon type and making it a quad would help to drive home the differences between the unified and split forms of the Dragon.

Zekrom and Reshiram are pretty sophisticated when compared to previous Box Legends in the series. They don't act much like mindless beasts like Groudon and Kyogre did.

True, but I think this comes from the original dragon. Dragon, thematically, feels like it's all about aggression and sheer power (especially in gen 5 meta) and I interpreted the Dragon typing to be representative of the war and aggressions that split the dragon in the first place.
This is all entirely subjective, of course, and I could also see it being pure dragon to represent a different sort of cosmic energy (Pokemon dragons have ties to space) as well as to represent that when unified, even the incredible power of dragons can be controlled.

Well they're the only cover legendaries that are confirmed to have actually lived together with people for centuries, actively helping them to build an entire civilization. That's pretty cool and different from the legends that were either mysterious forces of nature or pretty and powerful things that lived in temples and were seen as gods.
