I believe it's Araquanid regardless, but the first batch of totem gifts are version exclusive. You get Gumshoos, A-Marowak, and Lurantis in Ultra Sun, and A-Raticate, Araquanid, and Salazzle in US. After that, the data from the game lists Vikavolt, Togedemaru, Mimikyu, Ribombee, and Kommo-o.

Mimikyu is specifically the reward for 70 stickers found iirc. The stickers are spread across all four islands, but you're given the gifts at specific intervals (e.g., 10 stickers gets you Gumshoos/Raticate, then 20 gets you Marowak/Araquanid, etc.). You can collect a reward from alola Oak.

Fun fact: in a recent interview they mentioned that Wishiwashi is supposed to be one of the harder ones, but they deliberately placed Paras nearby as an easy way out.

They don't come with stat bonuses, that's a special effect for special battles. Totems are just big Pokemon with 3 perfect IVs and HAs.

Sorry I just double checked and not all of them come with the HA. Araquanid is one example.

The ones that come with HAs: Gumshoos/Raticate, A-Marowak, Togedemaru, Ribombee/Kommo-o.

I have no idea why Lurantis doesn't come with its HA.

Yeah, it means that Pokemon after twenty years has finally caught up to standard JRPGs.
You encounter a boss monster, you use status move and buffs/debuffs. That's how it goes.
