Pokemon haters are just weird. I remember during pokemania. There was so many mario fan hating on Pokemon because Nintendo was focusing on so much. Other monster collections fans blame Pokemon for having monopoly of genre. Don't hate the player. Hate the game

Sun and Moon felt more like the 20th because it introduced Alola forms, the professor was the champion, Red and Blue at the Battle Tree, Ash's Pikachu, Ash-Greninja, etc. USUM only has Rainbow Rocket.

You'd probably have a point if Mario and Zelda haven't managed to keep the quality of their games consistent for years outside of occasional hiccups. You didn't see them dumb down/skimp out on content for Odyssey and BOTW due to iphones.
