that's a good point

this chart should include all Pokemon

But on the subject of type distribution, MORE ICE, PLEASE. And don't make them slow, "defensive" Ice types. And PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD make them relatively early game. We need a region that's COLD for once, or at least starts out somewhere cold.

I hope the DP remakes expand the ice. They started in Platinum, but now they've got more Ice types to take advantage

My criteria for good type distribution would be at least 6 fully evolved, non-legendary Pokémon of each type (so enough to do a monotype run with).
I don't think any of the games actually meet that criteria but I'm sure several of them come closer than Alola does, so I'm going to go ahead and say it's pretty shit.

Unova dex comes closest, missing out on the following:

Give me a good god damn Ground type again GameFreak! Dugtrio and Pallosand were okay, I hate Mudsdale, Diggersby was trash and somewhat ugly, and Zygarde is a legendary, which I don’t use on teams.

There hasn’t been a good Ground type (IMO) since Gen 5, where we were spoiled with Excadrill, Krookodile, Seismitoad and Gollurk.

Psychic types got screwed with too many legendaries and not even standard pokes. We need more Ice types! Dark types are mostly recolored gen 1 shitmon.

Am happy to see more love for Ghost types though and I liked the Fairy types much more this gen.

It gets a bit messy when you include all forms even within a type it already has in another form. Like do you really want to include all 4 Oricorio forms under Flying?
