Let's face it, the Light-type was planned to be introduced in pokemon Sun and Moon but for some reason it wasn't. Necrozma's true form is Light/Dragon with Lunala-Dawn Wings being Light/Ghost and Solgaleo-Dusk Mane being Light/Steel, Psychic will be replaced in future games

Actually Psychic is, but then again Light is used as the special form of many attacks, so making it a type would fuck the special movepools of almost every type.

how? psychic type is related to magic, illusions and maybe space
nothing about it indicates it has anything to do with light, meanwhile fairy type is strong against dark type (darkness, evil, malice) and has moves such as dazzling gleam and moonblast

No, psychic for the Japanese is basically the cosmic type. It deals with specific supernatural phenomena that Gamefreak called psychic for some reason.

Again a problem caused by translation issues. It's called Evil type in Japanese. That said, don't base your theory on the type chart, that changes for balance reasons.

Don't forget you have things like: >Solarbeam (Grass)
>Flash Cannon, Doom Desire and Mirror Shot (Steel)

That and many more use light, but they're all special attacks. If you make Light into a type it will fuck up the original special split badly.

Fairy vs Evil type is more of a you can't trick the Eldritch abomination.

Fairies were the cheat button of folklore.

Evil type, aka dark type is dirty fighting, psychic is Esper.

Thats all there is to it, bonus point for dark types being immune to prankster, you can't trick the trickster.

by your logic a lot of dragon moves could be defined as light related, just because they're beams or rays doesn't mean they can manipulate light
those steel moves are based on steel reflecting light, which is the only material than can do such thing, that's why rock type/ground type/ice types don't use beams of light as attack
solar beam is based on plants receiving energy from the sun, most likely channeling it instead of producing it from within themselves
fairy types are the only ones that produce light
sorry I went full autistic here but in my opinion is quite clear fairy type is the closest we got to light type, probably even designed to act as such
