Sad thing he is right. Kids then didn´t got many games so they could spent hours and hours in one game.

But why does he give a shit how long they play it for? Surely more content = more sales?
And I highly doubt mobile games are interesting and gripping enough to pull you away from a handheld console game.
To me, it's a really bad excuse that is made to look genuine.

Dude I never played the battle frontier stuff in the older games, because I didn´t wanted to breed and ev train etc. Now this shit is easy as fuck and I was so fucking hyped when they introduced supertraining into XY and I was like yeah man finally playing battle frontier!

Now I am here and didn´t touched any battle facility. Maybe I will now play with the tree

I didn't get into EV training until gen 6 and I LOVED the battle frontier. You didn't need good sets to have a fun time, that was the entire point of the gimmicks. The battle tower was the only one where it was absolutely necessary, and is also the only one they kept around. It's a shame.
