Charizard line: A
Blastoise line: A
Venusaur line: C
(Charmeleon and Blastoise are bland, that's why they are tied)
Typhlosion line: A
Feraligatr lline: A
Meganium line: B
(Quilava and Croconaw are forgettable, Chikorita and Bayleef redeem its' line)
Blaziken line: B
Swampert line: B
Sceptile line: B
(All three are designed weirdly, but likeable. All three have uninteresting mid evos, and their final evos seem like fakemon)
Infernape line: A
Empoleon line: A
Torterra line: A
(All three feel like solid starters. Designs are good, and typings are nice. Their mid evos differ a lot from basic forms, and the final evos look sleek and appealing.)
Emboar line: B
Samurott line: C
Serperior line: D
(Gen 5 is a let down. Serperior's line is boring and devolves for some reason, Emboar's started the Fire/Fighting sickness, but at least looks better than the rest, and Samurrot's final evo is garbage. Dewott is the only redeeming thing about the line.)
Delphox line: B
Greninja line: B
Chesnaught line: B
(Pretty solid. All three lines have one ugly mon: Delphox, Froakie, Quilladin. All three have nice typings.)
Incineroar line: B
Decidueye line: B
Primarina line: C
(Torracat seems uninspired, and Incineroar could have been something better, but Incineroar looks better than other fire-type starters, and Fire/Dark is nice. Dartrix is dumb as fuck, and Decidueye could have been something better, but makes up for it with Grass/Ghost -which doesn't make much sense. Primarina line is awful. Popplio is a damn shame, literally Bulbasaur tier, Brionne is fapbait, and Primarina -based off something cool- is Meganium tier. The typing is nice though.)
