Yes although I like to think the games we play have two timelines. Base games and remake/megaverse.

Each world is a different timeline, even for UB's worlds (source:
Guzzlord's).
And Zinnia on ORAS and Maxie/Archie on USUM already proves no remake overwrites the old version, each reality exist in the multiverse and pokemon (and even people) can travel between them
