This, or lay least go through some small adventure to get it. DP did event mons right, just enough exploration and you actually get to catch the mon yourself, you actually feel like you earned it.

And not to sound like an immature faggot but it's actually nice to have some kind of attachment to the Pokémon in my team. I know they are all ones and zeros but it's cool to train them and raise them like a team, they're my teammates. Simply being given a mythical with no effort is not going to make me like this thing, it's too hard to actually really like the mon.

From my point of view,it would make sense to keep it unrelease only if gen 8 was something like "Pokemon Z" since zygarde was glorified but didnt received shit,a sequel of what's happening in Kalos,where we finally get new mega mons n'shit.
Imagine something in the post game where we ride an ultra wormhole till the era of the event of the great pokemon war where Az launched the ultimate weapon. We get to experience that and afterwards we get the mon. Would be pretty cool desu

Don't be such a pendant sod. The fan base wants new Pokémon with good designs in their games, imagine the backlash if GF released a new game with no new mons. Not to mention one of the biggest complaints about the newer gens aren't that the designs of the Pokémon are bad but amount of new mons is appallingly small.

You aren't supposed to catch someone's personal pokemon unless they say so or hand it over, anon. You catch the others because of plot reasons or because they are in the wild.
