>>34133816>>34134430I'm not the best 3D modeler or artist, but I have artwork for some of the mons. I use Maya, and it seems the artists of Pokémon do as well from the release trailer of sun and moon (it showed wireframes for Pikipek in Maya). I'm a terrible rigger/animator though.
Most of the reception of my sketches has been that my art is a bit too realism, not enough Pokémon. I've been working on that. Additionally, I'm getting better with Unity and Unreal Engine.
But also, anon2 makes a point. I'm more a systems designer than a content creator. So the entire pokedex (names, Types, egg groups, locations, abilities, evolution methods), Pokémon distribution (Twilight/Day/Night), new moves in the game, and important trainers are done. An earlier iteration had most of the regular trainers and even dialogue done, but that was when the region had a bunch of designs I decided were shit.
If I can get it so everything in the game is done up to 3D modeling/coding, I'm happy. For this iteration, that means learnsets for each Pokémon and their finer details (Stats, height/weight/EV yield/egg steps/etc.), new item descriptions, rough sketched maps with item locations, non-important trainer teams, dialogue, and all shopping.
>>34135399Starters are Fire, Fire, and Fire. Their evolutions are all Fire/Fighting. How did you know?
Starters are Grass Koala, Fire Snake, and Water Hatchling. They evolve into a Grass/Fighting Drop Bear or Grass/Psychic Koala, a Fire/Ground Viper or a Fire/Electric Cobra, and a Water/Steel Frigatebird or a Water/Flying Cormorant. Evolutions are version-dependent... but because Australian mythology involves Dreamtime... after catching the Ghost/Fire, Ghost/Water, and Ghost/Grass Dream Sisters legends through puzzles involving light-based Morse code, you can access a "dream" of the other version where all version exclusives are swapped and you can battle the opposite version trial captains
