Is USUM that difficult? Like DPPt level of difficult or BW/BW2 level of difficult. There've been a few threads saying that USUM is one of the most difficult games at the moment

It’s BW difficult with XP Share and B2W2 without XP Share, it’s brings a challenge depending on which moms you carry through out your team. Definitely harder than the original SM, which is good.

I unironically found SM hard in the first place, without exp share and playing on set.
I was like 10 levels lower than Hapu and it was a fun struggle.

Hell, early game was difficult too because I don't heal while I'm on a route, so I fainted to that fucking lady with a Carbink who would setup.

this! I got fucked by hau, guzma and lusamine. Also totem lurantis.

If I wouldn´t have grinded to 55, because I thought the E4 are level 60-70ish that would be even harder.

this fucking faggot sweeped me too many times. In USM it was also his fucking pinsir. Didn´t helped that my whole team in SM had a huge disadvantage against Rock/Ground and Fight. Man even the single lady kahuna was fucking hard.

I will either play Nova ultra sun or I will play Ultra sun on set with exp share this time.

USM may have dropped the ball hard on post-game, but when they said they were increasing the difficulty, they weren't lying. SM gave me fear of losing for the first time in years, USM gave me that feeling at least 10 times.

I was just going to play it regularly, but now I think I'll nuzlocke it for my first playthrough. I only lost to Totem Lurantis in my Moon playthrough with exp share and refresh, and lost to Hau in my Moon nuzlocke because I forgot to heal.

Bosses have a good difficulty, but that's it

Most trainer have 1 pokemon, with almost no levels extra than wild Pokemon, also the AI is quite bad compared to other games.
Even boss AI spams NVE moves several times when they have a move that easily 2HKOes

And they still give you tons of money, so resource planning is a non issue now

Rotom will give you an extra move randomly

was probably the second hardest before USM came around (only behind BW2)
If you want to see games without difficulty, look at RBY, GSC, or XY.

Most generic trainers are pretty easy but boss battles have a decent challenge. I think they've sprinkled some hard trainers that weren't in SM too, like there's a guy in Tapu village with Gabite/Shelgon/Sligoo and very good movesets for level ~35, the Gabite really took me off guard by outspeeding me and using Earthquake and Dragon Claw.

Turn off the exp. share and it can get pretty difficult. I just reached Ula'ula with 6 mons and 0 grinding, Hau gave me a good challenge because my highest leveled Pokemon was at the level of his lowest one.

that's only because shit players have filled the board because their favorite ecelbs told them that leaks happened here, they're as easy as any other pokemon game, I've beaten it with a team of shitmons and xp share off

I did Moon with a mono-ghost team and no Exp. Share and the difficulty was perfect. Considering a nuzlocke or UM but that can be time consuming.

Last year i bought SS, platinum and yellow and i had no problems except for the classic full restore spam with Lance and and some random rng in platinum. I feel like i am too used to grinding in pokemon games that once i stop doing it and hinder my progress i realize not everything can be done in 1 turn.

If USM can give me that feeling again then it's worth buying, bc if i wanted a movie th3y just released the 20th anniversary one.
